Duet Departs

Duet is departing San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, this morning, Thursday March 16th, for Nuka Hiva, in the Marquesas Islands. We expect to arrive in about 18 days, after a journey of around 2,700 miles. The weather for the first 8 days or so is expected to be calm, which is about as good as it gets for this length of journey. Our buddy boat, the Nordhavn 60 Daybreak, will be departing from a little further south this weekend. We will be in touch with them every day.

You may follow us as www.snap.ocens.com. Enter “Duet” in the left hand box, and make sure that the start date of your search is 3/16 or later. You should see our little dot slowly progressing across a big ocean. We will be posting positions a couple of times a day.

We may, nor may not, post to the website while we are gone. We do not expect to have internet access until we get home in late May, so, while we really appreciate your comments, we won’t be able to respond to them. Please feel free to email us at ncmgoldberg at gmail.com anytime, that email forwards to the boat while we are underway.

Remember, no news is good news. We may, actually we probably will, experience technical difficulties with our communication gear. We are a long way from anywhere, so it might take a little time to get back up and running.

We wish everyone an enjoyable spring.
Nancy, Ron and Sean
